YOPmail Blocked on Twitter/X?

YOPmail domains are blocked on Twitter/X. Here's why and what you can do instead.

Why It's Blocked

Twitter/X blocks YOPmail domains (yopmail.com, yopmail.fr, and related variants) during signup. YOPmail shares a key vulnerability with Mailinator: its inboxes are publicly accessible without authentication. This means anyone can read emails sent to any YOPmail address, which makes it trivial to hijack accounts created with YOPmail addresses. Twitter's anti-bot team has blocked all known YOPmail domains, and registration attempts produce an "email address is invalid" error.

What You Can Do

The public inbox problem is what makes platforms especially aggressive about blocking YOPmail. Switching to a disposable email service with private, authenticated inboxes eliminates this concern. NukeMail, for instance, requires a unique access code to view any inbox, so there's no risk of someone else intercepting your verification email. Its fresh domains also help avoid the blocklist issue.

For Twitter/X, email alias services are a reliable alternative. Firefox Relay, SimpleLogin, and Apple Hide My Email all create addresses on trusted domains that Twitter has no reason to block. They forward to your real inbox while keeping your primary address hidden.

If you want minimal friction, create a Tutanota account (no existing email required for signup) and use it for social media registrations. It's a real email provider with privacy focus, so it works everywhere while keeping your main email separate.
