Temporary Email for Event Registration

Register for webinars, conferences, meetups, and online events without your email being captured by event organizers and their sponsors.

The Problem

Event registration forms are lead generation tools disguised as sign-up sheets. When you register for a webinar, your email goes to the event organizer, the hosting platform, and often every sponsor of the event. A single webinar registration can result in emails from five to ten different companies. Professional conferences and trade shows are even worse: your badge scan at a sponsor booth triggers automated email sequences, and your registration email gets shared with every exhibitor who paid for attendee data. Even free community meetups often use platforms that collect and market to attendee lists. The real cost of a free event is your inbox.

How Temporary Email Helps

Temporary email protects you from the sponsor spam that follows most event registrations. You get the event details, access link, and calendar invitation at the disposable address, while the sponsor follow-up goes nowhere.

This works particularly well for webinars, which are the most egregious offenders. Most webinars send the access link via email right after registration and again shortly before the event. A temporary address receives both, giving you everything you need to attend.

NukeMail handles event registration cleanly. Create an address, register for the event, and check your inbox for the confirmation and access details. Save the webinar link or calendar invite to your own calendar. Once you have the access information, you do not need the email anymore.

For in-person conferences and events you attend professionally, use your real business email. Temporary email is best for one-off webinars, online talks, and events from organizations you do not want a long-term relationship with.

Tips

  • Save the event access link or meeting ID as soon as you receive the confirmation email. Do not rely on a reminder email arriving later.
  • For recurring event series, each session usually requires a new registration. Keep your NukeMail tab open or save your access code to check for updated links.
  • Some webinar platforms send a recording link after the event. If you want the recording, make sure your inbox is still active or save your access code to check back later.
